Body Balance is a group fitness class that we run here at Banks O’ Dee. This blog post is about why you should try out Balance. Read on to find out more.
So what is Body Balance?
Body Balance is a group exercise class which is a combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to soothing sound tracks. Improve your flexibility and increase core strength and leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and have a sense of well-being and calm which reduces stress levels.
During the 45 minute class you will perform a mixtue of all three arts and perform a series of sun salutations, balance poses, hip stretches, twists and more which will improve your joint flexibility, range of movement and increase your core strength. While doing so you focus on your breathing – inhaling and exhaling.
This type of exercise is for anyone and everyone and we can promise you that you will leave feeling relaxed. The benefits to Body Balance are all worth it and means that when you join in other group exercises you feel free and ready to work even harder.
You may find that when you wake up the next day after participating in a Balance class that you have a little muscle soreness particularly around your hips and even in your upper body/core. This is normal and shows you have worked hard. We are not saying Body Balance is easy but we are saying that it is worth it so if you have been thinking about coming to a class then go for it!! Why not.
